Student Best Paper Award
The TDS 2021 Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the TDS 2021 Student Best Paper Award. The award is established by the IFAC Technical Committee 2.2. Linear Control Systems to recognize excellence in TDS papers whose primary contributor is a student. The selection for the award is based on the originality, clarity, and potential impact on practical applications of a paper presented in a TDS Workshop, and all student nominees are expected to present their paper at the TDS 2021, onsite or online.
The nomination for this award is open until August 15, 2021. Nominations must be made via ifac.papercept.net. To make a nomination, follow the link "Submit a Contribution to TDS 2021" on the main ifac.papercept.net page.
Eligibility
The primary author must be a student at the time of the TDS 2021 deadline for the initial paper submission. The nominated paper must have been accepted for presentation at the TDS 2021. Extended abstracts submitted to the Workshop are not eligible for nomination.
Procedure
Nominations must be made by the student’s professor (advisor) and include paragraphs
- certifying that the nominee is the main author of the paper,
- certifying that the nominee was a student at the time of the TDS 2021 deadline for initial paper submission,
- containing a brief description of the contribution of the paper,
- explaining the main reason for nomination for the award, and
- providing the advisor’s contact information.
Presentation of Award
The award will be announced and presented by the IFAC TC 2.2 Chair at TDS 2021 Award Ceremony.
The Award
The award recipient will receive a certificate and a complimentary student registration for the TDS 2021 workshop. Finalists will receive a complimentary student registration for the TDS 2021 workshop.
